In 1905, a company in Cuenca called "Casa Miguel Heredia Crespo", opened to the world the tradition and magic of the paja toquilla hat (Panama Hat). In the 40's this company changed its name to "Serrano Hat Export Cia. Ltda.", name which it exists to the present.
